Subject:                 Annual USS Merit Increase & Salary Notice Information

Notice of Merit Increases for University Support Staff (USS):

Campus will be notified of the date when staff can be informed about any awarded merit increases. After that authorization has been received, we strongly encourage a personal meeting with USS to explain how merit increases were awarded. That meeting should be conducted by the individual(s) who knows most about how the merit increase was determined for the individual. That person may not necessarily be the direct supervisor since some departments have merit recommendations made a higher levels. Please share this information with the individuals in your department who should meet with USS staff regarding awarded merit increases.

 

Annual Salary Notices:  

Annual salary notices reflecting available merit and across-the-board increases for FY 07 will be provided by Human Resources & Equal Opportunity to USS employees after those increases have been loaded in the HR/Pay system. It is not necessary for campus departments to provide this information in writing to USS employees. We are hopeful that the effective date for the increases will be June 18, 2006, but that must be approved by the Kansas Board of Regents who meet later this week.
